The Outsider

About to finish this brilliant book by Colin Wison. 1956. here are what people say about the book

The most profound book that I have yet read. Excellent., November 21, 1999

The seminal work on alienation, creativity, and the modern mindset.

He defines the outsider as a person that "sees too deep but can't help it", a person that instinctively feels he doesnt fit in, becomes troubled by that, and sets out on a personal journey of discovering himself and his position in everything else.

the book is an experience Finally!!

I never considered myself being an Outsider. But now I'm so confused that I don't know why I'm even existing. 'Outsider' is a definite life changer. It took me into my own mind and I'm struggling to get out of it. Colin Wilson is a underground genius. He has managed what few authors has done to me. Self torture. I will never read a Colin Wilson book again. Isn't there a book available about How to forget 'The Outsider'? Read It Friends!

FOOTBALL

For the Patriots, their winning script showed few revisions from last season.

The Patriots had a 10-point lead at the end of the third-quarter, but the Colts had made it a 3-point game with 11 minutes remaining

the Colts moved to the 1-yard line.

The running back took the handoff and thrust himself into the pile. He was hit, and the ball popped loose. It was recovered by the Patriots' rookie defensive tackle.

The Colts had the ball with 1 minute 43 seconds remaining but no timeouts. They moved inside the Patriots' 20-yard line, but Willie blitzed and sacked Manning for a 12-yard loss with 42 seconds remaining. That pushed a field-goal attempt to 48 yards. pushed it wide right with 24 seconds remaining!

This is what a POLICE STATE looks like

Yesterday was civil disobedience day in New York, being the aging hippie that I am I was compelled to attend. Arrived at the steps of the NY public library at 5:30, police presence was intimidating but that did not stop the crowd that rapidly assembled out of nowhere. Two guys attach a banner and next thing you know police swooped in and arrested them, crowds then swarmed the police chanting "shame, shame" suddenly a guy appeared and started handing out banners for everyone..I glance to my left to see a line of police officers pummeling people, fists were flying and I moved quickly to get out of the way, I saw a man in his 60's arrested and even a guy in a wheelchair taken away. Cute female cops in helmets with plastic handcuffs were walking around and the atmosphere was charged with police enthusiasm. After 30 minutes the cops decide to take over the steps of the library, they come charging up the stairs and everyone scattered, then a bullhorn informs us if we don't clear the sidewalks we will all be arrested.
I loitered a little longer and then wisely continued on my merry prankster way....
